
The in game economy has also been improved, with Iron Box, Bronze Box, Silver Box, Gold Box now costing 750, 3000, 12 500, and 50 000 respectively. Now with a subscription model, no microtransactions, advertisements, and bundles exist, and tokens have now been replaced with a new exclusive currency called Crowns.

In late November 2021, Netflix licensed Asphalt Xtreme from Gameloft to add to its gaming service. On October 8, the game's servers were shut down. The announcement affects all platforms and the game was unlisted from the iOS App Store, Android Play Store and Windows Store on August 10. In August 2021, Gameloft began sending in-game messages (in ad format) informing the players that the game will be shutting down on Septemand that sales of in-game currency will end on September 1. From 2018 onwards, Asphalt Xtreme only had intermittent updates for bug fixes. The game received updates regularly until September 2017 when the game's soft-update mechanism was used from October 2017 onwards to download new vehicles. The visual interface, angular camera view and vehicular design of the game concept have a strong visual resemblance to the Motorstorm video game series. The first off-road racing iteration in the series, the game features a lineup of rally cars, monster trucks and of off-road tracks.
